Emergency lighting is an integral part of commercial and industrial buildings.

All emergency lighting is designed to automatically operate in the event of an interruption of supply, in which case, emergency lighting allows for acceptable illumination levels and also allows for a fixed time period for the system to remain illuminated, to ensure for safe evacuation of persons.

This course is primarily aimed at individuals including electricians, who are interested in the processes of designing and installing Emergency Lighting Systems.

The course will also look at aspects risk assessment considerations and procedures, for example, to allow for the designation of standard emergency escape routes and to allow for other evacuation procedures.

Although this is a non accredited course, we can provide delegates with an optional short examination.

All delegates receive a certificate of attendance with successful delegates passing the optional examination, receiving a Total Electrical certificate with a credit towards their next booked course with Total Electrical Training

Publications for this course are sold separately and not included in the price.

It is expected that delegates have some understanding of electrical system design and we do strongly recommend that prospective candidates are in possession of a successful 18th edition BS 7671 certificate; this is normally evidenced by way of a City and Guilds 2382 qualification. We also suggest that delegates should have some background knowledge of the principles of electrical testing.
