Every year, around 1,000 accidents at work involving electricity and are reported to the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).
Tragically, about 30 people die as a direct result of electrocution. This means that every day, three people accidentally come into contact with electricity and that every single month, two people die.
The dangers of electricity cannot be minimised, and we at Total Electrical Training have developed a short workshop covering electrical safety.
This workshop is aimed at those with basic electrical knowledge who are required to isolate electrical equipment as part of their role.
Additionally, the workshop gives those with a basic electrical knowledge an awareness of electrical safety and the processes in carrying out safe isolation of electrical equipment. It is based around the guidance issued by the Electrical Safety Council, HSE Guidance Note GS38 and the Memorandum of Guidance on the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989.
