City and Guilds 2392-10 is the qualification which is specifically aimed at electricians and others who have a very limited or no experience in carrying out the process of initial verification, which includes carrying out functional testing and interpreting test results.
This City and Guilds 2392-10 examination only session contains a significant number of multiple choice questions, and references the requirements of the 18th Edition of the Wiring Regulations (BS7671:2018) and is restricted to initial verification only as described in Part 6, Chapter 64 of BS7671:2018 the 18th edition of the Wiring Regulations.
This examination session is recommended to those who are seeking to acquire a “pass” in the multiple choice examination only.
PLEASE NOTE:
For those that wish to undertake the additional practical skills to undertake initial verification as described in part 6, chapter 61 of BS7671:2018 the 18th edition of the wiring regulations, as well as the underpinning knowledge for the qualification, we strongly advice you to consider the full City and Guilds 2392-10 course.
On successful completion of the examination, candidates will understand:
- Safe isolation
- Overview of Part 6/Chapter 64 BS 7671:2018
- The processes involved in Initial Verification
- The Visual inspection
- The Correct Sequence of Functional Testing
- Carrying out Functional Testing
- Evaluating and interpreting test results
- Completion of the Installation Test Certificates and the Schedules of Tests
All candidates undertaking this City and Guilds 2392-10 examination only session are assessed via 50 multiple choice questions – the examination, which is “closed book”, is carried out using the computer based City and Guilds e-volve system – all candidates are advised of their examination results shortly after the end of the examination period.
