City and Guilds 2391-52 combines all of the elements of Initial Verification and Periodic Inspection and Testing.
It is aimed at *experienced* electrical inspectors (including electricians and electrical engineers) who are currently performing inspection, and the full range of single and three-phase electrical testing, and are seeking a qualification that embraces all the disciplines for carrying out Initial verification and Periodic inspection, as well as carrying out a full range of functional electrical tests on both single and three-phase electrical installations.
It is intended for those practising and experienced electricians and electrical engineers who wish to formally demonstrate, with an accredited qualification, their knowledge and abilities in performing both Initial verification and Periodic inspection on single and three-phase electrical installations. The qualification covers all the disciplines of Initial verification and Periodic inspection. It comprehensively covers all the methodologies of testing and inspecting as outlined in BS 7671 (within Part 6) and IET Guidance Note 3.
Please note that this qualification is a direct replacement for both City and Guilds 2394 and 2395 as it covers all of the processes and disciplines for carrying out comprehensive testing, Inspection and a periodic inspection on a three-phase electrical installation.
The qualification is endorsed by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) as well as being supported and recognised by competent person scheme providers.
This combined testing and inspecting qualification will significantly benefit practising, *experienced* electrical inspectors (including electricians and electrical engineers) who wish to provide evidence that they have a thorough understanding of inspection and testing.
